Today I made mountains - Blender
Today I made mountains using blender. I followed the mountain tutorial from Blender 3D noob to pro. I did not put any color on the mountains because I was not sure which color I wanted to use.

A Synfig Animation
Yay! Here is the first synfig animation I have uploaded to my blog. I created my first synfig animation yesterday, this animation here is the third of forth I have made using synfig.
I wanted to post an animation yesterday, but I ran into a problem because I could not render the animation in AVI, or MPEG, synfig would only render in gif format. I uploaded the animation, but it would not work after I got it uploaded. So I tried to find a format conversion program, but I could not find one that would convert gif to avi.
So today I wanted to look for a screen capture program, but one landed right in my lap because kim komando had camstudio as her cool site of the day. How cool is that I did not even need to search for a screen capture program because a link to one was delivered to my inbox.
So I went to the website and got the program and that is what I recorded this animation with. I sure feel better knowing I can put synfig animations on my blog using camstudio.

Spam proofing my email adress
Today I used spam proof email address generator to put my email address on my blog. How thrilling. I got the website from komando.com probably two or three years ago. I had no use for the website at the time so I bookmarked it and forgot about it. Well now I've found it again after going though my bookmarks. I think the image look nice. That's all for today.

A different kind of music website
Today I planned to copy and paste the Farting Nun Organ into my blog, but it turned out the game was to big to fit on my blog as a post so I will just put the link to the website. I heard about the farting nun organ from about.com humor. I am disappointed. I would have loved to put it on my blog, oh well. I did play the organ a little.

Pivot Stickfigure animator, found in my bookmarks
A few days ago I found a link to a program called pivot stickfigure animator in my bookmarks folder. I hope to make short animations with the program and put them on my blog.
I downloaded the program two or three days ago, but only installed it today. It installed fine and then I stared up the program so I could try using it. I did not make anything worth saving, I definitely need more practice. I'm sure I will have fun using this program.
I also found some information about pivot stickfigure animator on wikipedia. I just found the pivot stickfigure website , I got the link from the wikipedia article.

A few days ago I received the 3M race day
A few days ago I received the 3M race day credential holder I won in December of 2008. I decided to leave it in the package it came in because it's silly to take it out just to take a picture of it when I could use a photo of the credential holders I have won previously. Yay!!

Today a site that has blueprints
Today a site that has blueprints. I thought I got The-Blueprints.com from the MemoBook, but I don't think I did because I checked the MomoBook and did not see the website, although I did not check very hard. So I have no idea how I found the website. The website is great.
Now I want to tell a story. I have delusions dreams of making a car using blender. One time I tried to make that dream come true with the help of a blueprint I got from The blueprints.com. I never finished the model which would have turned out terrible if I had. Some day I will make great 3d cars I know it. Oh yes I forgot one thing, the car I wanted to make was a Volkswagen beetle.

Vroom vroom, a car website from my bookmarks folder today.
The Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum has pictures and information about micro cars. What cute little cars. I can't come up with anything more to write so I will just say I'd love to make a 3d model of a micro car with blender after seeing this site. I got this site from about.com I think.

Some more goodies from my bookmarks folder. Page snooper is a website I got from komando.com and it will allow me to look at the html on websites. I want to use the website because the more html I look at the better I will get at html, that's my theory anyway.

I will say this thought I would would love to travel the word except I am not a people person, I'm more of computer person. World66 , Hillman wonders of the world , NationMaster.com. See you tomorrow, Toodles!

The strugle with my bookmarks continues
The struggle with my bookmarks continues. I've found some tech websites I want to share, so here I go.
Web Developers Journal is a site I wanted to visit more often so I got the RSS feed. If I read this website maybe I will get a website up some day? Or maybe not, but at least I will have learned something.
Website Magazine is a website that looks beautiful. I don't know what else to say about this website so I will repeat myself, this website looks beautiful, there now I'm done with this website and will move on to the next one.
And finally, drum roll please, we have an article from smashing magazine that lists some great technology websites and magazines. I definitely want to go through this list so I can subscribe to even more rss feeds because I don't subscribe to enought already.
See everyone tomarrow, different time same place.

Some history websites from my bookmarks
Here are some history websites I found in my bookmarks.
The Obsolete Computer Museum looks like a good website. It does not look like it has been updated in a few years. The curator's blog has new posts though. Another computer history website is The Vintage Computer. I completely forgot I had this website in my bookmarks, what a find. The history of computers, I love it.
The Proceedings Of The old Baily is a website that has information about Old Baily cases. Old court cases how fascinating.
And finally two book websites. The rare book room is a website that has old books your can read. Forbidden Library is a website that lists the names of books that have been banned. If a book is banned it must be good, that's my opinion anyway.

A few websites that teach you how to type
Here are some websites that teach you how to type. I am not sure where I got these from probably about.com or komando.com. I am a pretty good typer, but I think there is room for improvement. I am lucky that I learned how to type because I don't know how I could program or write an email while looking at the keyboard, it would drive me crazy. Looking at the keys and trying to think of what to write, there's no way I could do that.
Sense-Lang.org and Peter's online typing course are two websites where you can learn how to type online. TypeFaster Typing Tudor is a free program you can download that will teach you how to type.

Today some sites that have to do with the U.S.
Today I found some great sites in my bookmarks folder that have information about the united states. StateMaster.com is a website that has a lot of information about the 50 states. I don't know much about the different states so I hope to learn more with this website.
U.S and world population clocks is another site I think is interesting. It shows the population of the u.s. and the population of the world which I think is cool.
American Rhetoric is a website that has a lot of speeches. I got this site from komando.com. I would love to read some of the historic speeches on this site and I am sure someday I will get around to it.
And finally I found The presidential Timeline Of The Twentieth Century. which is a site with information about some of the u.s presidents. I love history.

I'm still going through my boomarks
I'm still going through my bookmarks. Today I found a program I had bookmarked so I could download it later, but I could not remember the name of the program or where I put the bookmark so I never got a chance to try it. The program is called TinySpell and it's a spell checker. I don't spell very well so I'll be glad when I download this program. I got Tiny spell from komando.com
Another program I re found is Tux Paint a drawing program for kids. I bookmarked this site and forgot the name of the program and thought I would never find it again, but today was my lucky day. I got Tux Paint from about.com Linux.
Defineitfast.com is a website I got from komando.com and it's a dictionary. I think Dictionary's are great because my vocabulary is terrible. I have a regular paper back dictionary that I got several years ago and it is in bad shape because I am always looking up words that I don't understand when I read a book. I don't know why I bother looking up words in the dictionary because I can't remember what the words mean after I look them up anyway. I suppose I like to waste time. I probably do learn some word though.

Yesterday I found some comics websites in my bookmarks folder. I think I got Drunk Duck from about.com. Drunk Duck looks like a great site. Popeye's Thimble Theatre Home page is a website about the artist who created the Popeye comics. This looks like another fun website. Popeye the sailor man is one of my favorite comic book characters. I even remember watching the Popeye the sailor man movie.
The Superman homepage is a website I got from about.com humor. I loved Louis and Clark starring terry hatcher and Dean Cain it was one of my favorite t.v. shows. I never got into the superman movies. I have not read any superman comics either.

I've been looking throught my bookmarks
Today I've been looking through my bookmarks and I've found some websites I like. I love uncovering sites that I bookmarked then forgot about, it's great fun.
iScribble is a site that lets you make drawings online. I think I got the site from kim komando's cool site of the day. I tried making a drawing on iscribble the fist time I went to the site, and I am sure it was not good. Now that I have found the website again maybe I can make some good drawings.
The Twinkies project is a website I got from about.com humor. I used to love to eat Twinkies, they were soft and the white stuff in the middle was great. I loved eating Twinkies so much I could not stop eating them which is why I had to stop eating them.
Drawspace is a website that has drawing lessons. It's a site I got from about.com web search and it looks great. I'll be going to this site a lot, it's just what I need lots of drawing lessons.
And finally google sketchUp is a 3d program I want to try someday.

Run javascript in a command prompt
Yesterday I read an article on javascript.com about running javascript in a command prompt using java. As I have written before I want to learn javascript so I thought wow that is great I can run javascript in a command prompt like the other programming languages I try to use. I didn't know that I could run javascript that way, how cool. I can't wait to try it, but first I need to get a newer version of java.

Active server pages
A few days ago I was looking at a website I got from the dolans.com called TheFreeSite.com. TheFreeStie.com is a website that lists lots of freebies. And in the web host category on thefreesit.com I found a web host that has asp on their server. The web site host is called WebNG.com
I had never wanted to try asp before, but the web host was free so I thought I might as well sign up and try it. I don't have the right version of windows so I have to upload the asp files to webNG for testing. I wish I had the version of windows that comes with asp because testing my programs would be easier I'm sure.
I signed up for an account, and went to another website with an asp tutorial. As with almost all tutorials I have done the first program was to output hello world or some similar message to the screen. I tried to get my script to work for what seemed like hours, but it would not. I was very upset that my script would not work I felt like a failure, I was down in the dumps.
The I found W3C schools asp tutorial. I did their hello world program and it worked. I was overjoyed. I did it, my simple script worked. I was doing some of the w3c schools tutorial earlier today and asp is fun, so far.
One thing that supprised me about asp is I can use vb script to write the programs. I have always wanted to try vb script, but it only works with Internet explorer so I can not use it client side like javascript even thought I want to. I was not sure if vb script was used at all, but now I know I can use it with asp. Another thing I have learned since working with asp is the scripts have the extension asp. It seems obvious now what extensions the asp scripts have, but I did not know what file extension to use when I stated.
If anyone is reading this do you use asp for your website?

Today I downloaded windows powershell
Hopefully I will learn more commands for powershell then I did for the dos command prompt. I only know one command for the command prompt and that is cd. The cd command lets me change folders so I can run programmes from the command prompt.

Google app engine
Unfortunately I don't have any good ideas for a web application. Of course even if I did have an idea for an application I would not know how to design it. I need to learn how to design programs. I want to try and build a Google app someday though.
