Yesterday I re-read a chapter or two from blender basics and today I read some more of the blender user manual on blender.org. Ok I almost fell asleep re-reading that last sentence because it is so exciting. My posts are getting worse and worse and yet I keep blogging. I am glad no one reads this blog because they might fall asleep at their computer. Ah in twenty years when I start making animations with blender then I will have something interesting to write about but, until then more boring blog posts. Say that 20 times Boring Blog posts, Boring Blog posts.....Goodnight Silly Notsosupercoder.

Let me take this opportunity to say that I have still
Let me take this opportunity to say that I still have not made any animations and also that I cant think of anything to write so I an writing off the top of my head, no wait I always write off the top of my head so that is not news. Maybe I should take some time to think about what I am going to write about each day; why bother it would not make what I write about any more interesting. Goodnight.

I spend so much time doing other things online
I spend so much time doing other things online that I don't have enough time to work on my blender skills. Somehow I have got to figure out how to spend some time making things in blender everyday other wise I will never get the hang of the program. I know I will make animations someday, I hope.

I am excited about making blender animations
Last night I was re-reading some parts of blender basics. While reading the book I had blender running and decided to put in the path where my finished animations should go. Before when I made animations they would end up in the blender temp folder but, It took me a while to remember where the animations ended up though. Now that I know how to set blender up so that I can put my animations into the folder I want to I will be able to find them easier. Another thrilling post.

I finished reading the book blender basics, again
Yesterday I finished reading the book Blender Basics for the second time. Sure reading a book one time is what I usually do but, I had forgotten what I learned from reading blender basics so I had to read the book again. Now all I need to do is keep practicing the stuff I learned in the book so I won't end up having to read the book a third time.

As I have said over and over aging
As I have said over and over again I want to make computer animations. As I have also said before the animations will only be a few seconds long. I was just thinking maybe I should make some black and white animations, that would be cool.
I have been trying to think of a character I could make up and I think I have though one up. Jimmy Gingerbread the toughest man in the west, maybe or maybe not. It definitely has to have a gingerbread man.

A awful post
In addition to learning how to program and putting up a web site this year I want to start making and putting online 3d animations that I make with blender. They might not be more than a few seconds long though because my computer is not that powerful and I don't want the file sizes to big because the animations would take me to long to upload if the files sizes were to big. I just want to start making animations. I hope I can make the animations at least 5 to 10 seconds long. They will be bad I am sure. That's all for now.

Here is a pipe I made with blender
This is the fist 3d model I have made with blender in a while. I followed a tutorial from blender 3d noob to pro to make the pipe joints. When I do a tutorial I usually just make the object from the blender tutorial. But I want to combine the 3d model I make doing the tutorials with other objects I have leaned to create. I want to get more creative.
Say if I put the pipe I made today and combined it with a house or maybe I could cover hills with grass. Or make a glass house. I need to get more creative.
Also today I finished about.com's javascript 101 tutorial. I think I have gone thought the tutorial before, but when I finished it I did not remember much javascipt. This time though the tutorials seemed much easier.
I took the final quiz and I knew most of the answers. Maybe someday I will become a decent javascript programmer. Who knows it could happen. I forgot to mention, after I finished the javascript 101 class I signed up for the form validation tutorial emails. Wish me luck :).

The fist gingerbread man I animated
This is the first gingerbread man I animated. I wanted to put my first animation on my blog, but I did not know where the file was on my computer. I checked where I put all my other blender files, but it was not there. I looked in the tmp folder where blender saves files and found it there, but it was not finished. It had 11 frames, but should have had 40 frames. I tried to upload it, but I always got an error when I uploaded the video. So I figured out maybe a video has to have a certain amount of frames to be able to be uploaded.
So that is why it is changed a little. As I said when I put up the last video my first animation was not good. The gingerbread man walked, but he did not walk right. The legs moved back, but they moved back at the same time. The legs did not go one forward and one back like they are suppose to. The arms were not right either. To summarise my first animation was horrible.
So in this short animation I used the original scene and fixed the animation so at least the gingerbread man looks like he is walking. I made the video 50 frames. Looking at my first animation on my computer because I still have the video I think it was only 11 frames. So I did find the original finished file and not some unfinished saved copy like I thought. I guess I messed up the number of frames too. The first animation never had 40 frames. oh well. I used quicktime instead of avi raw which I used the first time. I also tried to make the gingerbread man wave at the end.

Gimgerbread man walking
This is an animation I made using Blender. The animation is of a gingerbread man walking in place. It's from a tutorial in the blender manual. I've done the tutorial before, but the animation did not turn out good. The gingerbread man looked horrible and he did not walk the way he was suppose to.
The first time I tried this tutorial I saved the animation using avi raw. The file was huge about 35MB for 2 seconds of video. This animation is in quicktime format so it's about 3MB for 1 second of animation. I think I did a good job for my second animation.
My goal is to do one new animation a week and put it on this blog. I am not sure I will be able to accomplish that goal, but I will try. Some of the reasons for not accomplishing this goal would be. The animations take a long time to render, this one took 20 minutes for 40 frames. Uploading the clips also might take to long. So I will keep the animations short.
