I read through the book but, did not draw the example chibi's. I don't have all the materials need. So hope to draw the chibi cuties and chibi beasties eventually.
I had never heard of chibi's until I saw this book. And I must say the are adorable. And not to tough for me to draw.
I can't wait to draw the chbi cuties and chibi beasties. I thought the book was very good. If you want to draw chibi's this is a book that will show you how.

skimble scamble: OatmealBreakfasts latest song

I saw the definition of skimble-scamble and thought that would be a great word to write a song about. I am not sure I was write about that. You can be the judge. I frequently make no sense and ramble. Don't I? I hope every song I write is better than the last song I wrote. I want to keep getting better and one day be the best song writer in the world. That probably wont happen but, why not have it as a goal. If anyone listens to the song I hope they like it. And tell all their friends. But, if they don't like the song of course they don't have to tell their friends how much they don't like skimble-scamble. This is OatmealBreakfast saying good morning, Until my next song.

Review: A Sting in the Tale: My Adventures with Bumblebees

A Sting in the Tale: My Adventures with Bumblebees A Sting in the Tale: My Adventures with Bumblebees by Dave Goulson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When I used to think about bees I only thought that there were honey bees. Now that I have read a some books about bees I know different. This was an exciting book to read. He starts off the book talking about four species of bumble bees taken from the UK to New Zealand. And he ends the book talking about reintroducing one of those species of bumblebee the short-haired bumblebee back to the UK.
I enjoyed reading about bumblebee mating, the problems that commercially grown bumblebee's may cause for wild bumblebees. I was fun to read about the impact how non-native bee species may have on on native bees.
I also enjoyed the pages about the authors land in France. I thought farms in France would be more expensive than England but, I was wrong.
I think I have covered everything I want to in this review. If you like reading about bees I believe you will enjoy reading this book.

songWriter: Earplug music from oatmealBreakfast

I wrote the lyrics to this song about a year or more ago. And only this week got around to writing the music for the lyrics. Its a labor of work. A lot of sweat and tears went into this song. Ok, not that music seat. I think maybe this song is better titled lyricWriter, but, songWriter is what I wanted to name it so I named the song that. I suppose it might be better to spend more time with the lyrics for a song than I do. Maybe if I spent a month on the lyrics for each song the lyrics might be a lot butter, but, I want to write a lot of words. So I write fast and I write a lot as I see it. I hope someone enjoys listening to this song. And I hope that I am getting better at making songs with every song. This is OamtealBreakfast saying good morning and see you next songs.

Review: The Wall Will Tell You: The Forensics of Screenwriting

The Wall Will Tell You: The Forensics of Screenwriting The Wall Will Tell You: The Forensics of Screenwriting by Hampton Fancher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I liked that the book was short. I like it when I can read a book in less than a day. I have watched movies since I was young. i don't think I am as interested in movies as I used to be. Though I do think it might be fun to write a screen play and have show up on the big screen. Just to see if I could make it
happen.
This book will make me look at other people and think I wonder what they are thinking. I wonder they are feeling. Are they stressed out, Are they enjoying life. I think I am to self centered and a lot of the time only think of me, myself and I. If I watch other people I might be able to write a better screen play. And I also learned from this book to use my imagination. And to break free from the usual. Something like that.
I think the book has a lot of good advice. The book also made me feel good about reading. If I recall right there was a part that said reading a 1,000 books will do you some good. If only I could remember it all. I also wish I could write better reviews of books but, that may never happen.

Review: Why Time Flies: A Mostly Scientific Investigation

Why Time Flies: A Mostly Scientific Investigation Why Time Flies: A Mostly Scientific Investigation by Alan Burdick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I was surprised to learn that all cesium clocks do not agree so an institute takes the data from the clocks and comes up with a time for all them to be set. Something like that. I thought that all cesium clocks all kept the same time. I think that are called cesium clocks. This book also made me think about the present. Is the present this second, a minute, an hour, a day, a year. Reading about experiments on people and animals was also interesting. I thought this book was OK.

Review: Buzz: The Nature and Necessity of Bees

Buzz: The Nature and Necessity of Bees Buzz: The Nature and Necessity of Bees by Thor Hanson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There were so many interesting things I learned in this book. Bees are fascinating. I was surprised to learn that farmers in Touchet Washington use Alkali bees to pollinate alfalfa and that that provide a place for those bees to live.
Another one of that things I enjoyed learning about was the Hadza. I was surprised to learn that at 15% of the Hadza's calories come from Honey.
I also liked learning about bee Anatomy. I never thought that their antenna could do so many things. If I remember right they smell, and do a few more things.
The above is only a few things I liked about the book. I wish I could remember everything I read in a book that I like but, I can't. Defiantly a good book to read if you like reading about bees.

baseBallMe: A song about baseBall from OatmealBreakfast

I thought why not write a song about baseball. So Baseball me is the result. After a hard week of work on the song I am here to present it to the world of probably 3 people. Its a small world. A very small world who reads my blog. I don't know if my songs are getting better. I do know that I still enjoy composing songs. I hope every song is better than the last song. If they are not at least I tried to write and compose a better song each time. This is OatmealBreakfast saying good morning. I hope someone enjoys the song.

kiteFlying: OatmealBreakfasts latest song

I liked thinking about flying kites. So I decided to wrote about flying kites. What else can I saw. I hope one day to build my own kites and fly them. That sounds like a fun hobby. It had been years since I have flown a kite. I have probably not flown a kite since I was about 10 years old. I don't think that when I flew kites I spent much time flying them but, I do remember flying kites. I hope to learn some moves for for kites if there are moves. Maybe I could enter flying competitions. That sounds like fun. Anyway enjoy the song if anyone listens to it. Good morning from OatmealBreakfast. until next time.

Review: The Worm Farmer's Handbook: Mid- To Large-Scale Vermicomposting for Farms, Businesses, Municipalities, Schools, and Institutions

The Worm Farmer's Handbook: Mid- To Large-Scale Vermicomposting for Farms, Businesses, Municipalities, Schools, and Institutions The Worm Farmer's Handbook: Mid- To Large-Scale Vermicomposting for Farms, Businesses, Municipalities, Schools, and Institutions by Rhonda Sherman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a book. I was familiar with worm farming before I read this book but, had no idea what I would need to do to start a at least medium sized worm farming business. I think this is a very through book about warm farming. i enjoyed reading chapter in the book. I particularly liked reading the profiles of worm farms at the end of the book. I thought the resource section at the end of the book was good. I think this is the book to read if you want to start a medium sized to big worm farm. There is so much interesting information in the book.
