I need to read more books

Today hacker news had a link to a New york times article about a women who is reading a book a day for a year. I read the article and thought I wish I could read that many books in a year. I don't think I could accomplish such a feat because I have never finished a book in one day. I think I did read a book in four days once but, it was a short book.

I want to read more books but, I am a slow reader. I read a sentence or paragraph and then I will read it again and sometimes again before I move on to the the next sentence or paragraph. Also when I come to a word I don't understand I look it up in my dictionary instead of guessing what it means.

Looking up words that I don't understand wouldn't be so bad if I remember the word the next time I read it. But I end up looking up the same words over and over again. Heck I even have trouble remembering the word I just looked up in the dictionary after I put the dictionary down but, before I start reading again so sometimes I need to look the word up a second time which is frustrating.

So anyway I was sitting in front of my computer dreaming about how great it would be able to read a book a day. Just thinking about something like that made me feel great. I Imagined all the great books I could read and how much better at reading I would become. It made my day. But sadly I don't think I could ever be able to read fast enough to read that many books. Maybe one book a week is possible but, I don't want to set a goal because I know I wont do it. I just want to dream.

Oh I am forgetful

Everyday either before or after I enter daily entry sweepstakes I enter one entry sweepstakes. But yesterday I forgot to look though one entries so I had to look through the one entries ending today this afternoon. Lucky for me I enter one entries a day before they end or I would have missed some sweepstakes entries and I don't want that to happen.

I won another package of candy from M&Ms

I won another package of candy from the Halloween million instant win game today. Its the second time in a week that I have won a bag of candy from the same instant win game. After I won I checked the rules again to make sure I could win twice and luckily I can. What a great win. Yay for me, yay for me.

This is turning out to be a great month as far as sweepstakes wins go. I have won four times this month, four times. I don't remember the last month where I won four times. Sillys done. Goodnight.

Making a new twitter background

I am excited about making a twitter background. Today while reading feeds in google reader I came across a tutorial showing how to create a twitter background, which I found at devsnippets. I suppose the twitter background I have now is ok but, why not make a new one. I don't know what color to make my background. I also don't know what type of graphics to add to the background after I finish working thought the tutorial, I hope come up with something.

I have also been thinking about making a profile picture for blogger and twitter but, I don't know what I want to make. I could put a picture of myself but, I am embarrassed at how bad my blog is so I don't want anyone to know what I look like. Though I am sure even if I did put use a picture of myself for my profile picture no one would know what I look like because no one reads my blog. And I must say I am glad the no one reads my blog. The not so great idea

You know how some websites have a frequently asked questions sections. Well I want to answer frequently asked questions too but, since no one asks me any questions I will make questions up. Of course I will think the questions are funny but, no one else will and they will also make no sense like all the other posts on my blog.

I will call this new feature questions that no one has ever asked me but, I want to answer anyway. The title is hilarious. I think it is a stupid idea but, no one will ever read the posts so I will go for it. I don't know how many fake questions I will be able to come up with probably not to many so it may be a short lived feature. I think it will be fun. Sillys done. Goodnight.

I am still reading the book smalltalk by example which must be a record for me. I usually change programming languages after three or four days. I am improving. I have no idea what I want to make with squeak.

Strike that because I think I do no what I want to make with squeak. Of Course I have mentioned it before. I want to make a website using seaside. I still have a long way to go before I will be able to make anything on my own. Of Course I may never be able to make anything of my own but, I want to give it my best shot and if I don't succeed I will know I gave it my best effort. This post if awful. Sillys done. goodnight.

Today I want to complain about my bookmarks folder

Today I want to complain about my bookmarks folder again. Why did I bookmark so many websites. Why oh why. It will take me a moth or two to look thought my bookmarks. I could have used that month to do other things but, now I will spend and hour a day trying to get my bookmarks cleaned up because I bookmarked to may sites. Woe is me.

On the positive side I found a few websites that I like. I would not have found those websites had I not bookmarked them. Also I am sure I will feel a sense of accomplishment when I do eventually tame my bookmarks. I don't have a sense of accomplishment after writing this awful blog post though. Sillys done, goodnight.

A few days ago I said I wanted to learn html 5

A few days ago I said I wanted to learn html 5 and I still do but, today I was thinking I could put up a website using html 4 just to get something up on my website. I need to get a website up at this point because I have said I want to make a website for years but, have never made a good one.

In addition to helping me learn html putting up a website make me practice jquery and php both of witch I want to learn. Bottom line I just want to get something up and running. I know it won't be great but, if I don't put up a website it won't be anything just an empty page. This lackluster post is over. Silly says goodnight.

I think I will use this post to complain about all the bookmarks I have in my bookmarks folder. I bookmark so many websites I don't know what websites I have in my bookmarks folder so the bookmarks are useless anyway.

All of those bookmarks make me feel overwhelmed. I feel like oh no I have so many bookmarks I need to look through them and get rid of some but, I never go though my bookmarks because I figure what is the point I will never be able to look at all of them so why bather. It is no fun think about all the bookmarks I need to look through

So what I want to do is look though say ten bookmarks a day and maybe eventually who knows maybe I will have a bookmarks folder with a lot fewer bookmarks. Wow that post was exciting. Silly done. Goodnight.

I need to start making things

I need to start making things with inscape or blender so I can have something to write about on my blog otherwise I will run out of things to write about. I mean I cant write that I now want to learn a different programming language everyday. Although there is probably not much I can write about some picture that I make but, at lest they are pretty. I won a package of M&M brand candies

Today I won a package of M&M brand candies from the Halloween million 2009 instant game. I can't wait to eat my candy, yummy. M&M's Halloween sweepstakes was one of the first sweepstakes I entered back in 2007. I entered it every day but, did not win anything.

Last year I entered m&ms Halloween sweepstakes maybe a few times or maybe every day I can't remember. But I did not win a prize. And then this year I have been entering the sweepstakes everyday and I won a bag of candy. Yay for me. I love candy. Sillys done. Goodnight.

As you know I want to become a porgrammer

As I have mentioned on my blog before I want to learn how to make computer programs. And you know I want to learn squeak. So one of my goals is to make a program that I have designed and put it on squeak source. But first I need to learn squeak and how to design programs.

So I have switched programming languages again and now I want to learn squeak. I am serious this time I am going to stick to it and learn how to make a programs. After almost five years of trying to learn how to program I finally hop this year I will make something. But I probably will fail again because I will switch languages in a week or two. My winless streak is over

Today I won twice. First I received two books in the mail: Game over, and How to think like a CEO. I can't wait to read the books they look so interesting. And my second win of the day was a $25 home depot gift card. Yay for me I won, I won. I wonder if I will get any more wins this month. I guess I will have to wait and see. Sillys done, Goodnight.

I like plinky

I read about plinky on lifehacker probably six months ago and then signed up for the website but I had not answered a plinky prompt until today. I signed up for plinky because I thought it would give me an opportunity to write more. And if you have read this blog at all you know I need to practice writing more much more. But as I said I have not posted on the website until today so I have not gotten the practice writing I wanted when I signed up for plinky.

So I am writing this post to say from now on I want to answer a question everyday. Hey if I can enter hundreds of sweepstakes a day I think I can answer a question a day. This unexciting post is done. Sillys says goodnight.
