Are you sure the jumper cables are supposed to wrap around the batteries like that. I think that the clamps on the end of the jumper cables are supposed to go on the positive and negative battery posts.

WHy didn't I think of that. I married a mechanic. You should be jump starting the ice cream truck not me.

I don't know Bud. I don't know what is going on either. I am trying to help.

You are helping my love. Bud hooked up the jumper cable clamps of each end of the jumper cables on the negative and postive battery posts of the dead batter and the car battery.

I suppose you are right. Inanimate objects should talk. If they talked we would know how they felt. If a car could talk when it broke down it could tell us what was wrong with it and we would not need lots and lots of fancy equipment to figure out what was wrong with it. Fine Traci. This story is as it is. Maybe one day technology will evolve enough so that cars can talk and even fix themselves. I for one would like a talking car. It would surely be better than sitting in front of my computer talking to a chat bot when I am lonely. Oh, how I detest sitting in front of my computer.

"Let me think. How am I going to hook up the jumper cables. I know that I don't put them in the place where the key for the ignition goes. I know that I don't hook the jumper cables up to the starter. ITs a good thing because I have no idea how to do that." Bud said.

Bud you could read the instructions that are in the box that the jumper cables came from.

Don't be silly Traci. I don't need instructions. Instructions are not made for people named Bud Longinterger. I am a computer programmer so I don't need instructions.

Ha very funny Traci. I know what I am supposed to do. I am suppoed to put one end of the jumper cables on the battery of one car and the other end of the jumper cables on the battery of the other car.

Its all a simple matter of reasoning. If the battery is the power that starts the ice cream van then the batter must be what I hook up to the battery. Now how do I hook the jumper cables up to the battery?

YOu could go in the house and watch a video of how to do that.
