It's the end of February already. I won 3 sweepstakes this month. My first win was the book LANA: the memories, the myths, the movies. My second win was a dvd called Yomega Mania, and my third win was a coupon for a bag of combos snacks. I won some great prizes in February, Yay for me!! I hope I get a few wins in march.

Today I made a mirror

Today I made a mirror by following a tutorial I got from CGTutorials. One problem I had today was that I made the ground reflective like the vertical plane. I must have selected both of the planes when I only wanted to select the vertical plane.

Another problem I had today was that I did not save my work. I ended up erasing my scene when I selected open instead of append from the file menu. I did not realize my mistake until I had opened a new scene in the 3d view. I though oh no I did not save my work. So I had to do my model over again, but that is OK because it came out better the second time.

Today I followed an octopus tutorial I found at CGTutorials. The octopus was easier to make than I thought it would be. I can't think of anything else to write so I'm done.

Today I made a scene with a snowman

Today I made a scene with a snowman. I followed a winter scene tutorial I found at CGTutorials.I first saw the winter scene tutorial I did today a few years ago on blender.org, but I did not click on the tutorial link because I thought it would be to hard. Well I was wrong the winter scene tutorial was very easy. I love it!!

Today I modeled a medical syringe

Today I followed a tutorial on how to make a medical syringe with blender. I found the tutorial at CGTutorial.

I never thought of creating a 3d model of a syringe before I saw the medical syringe tutorial. It surprised me that anyone would ever make a 3d model of a syringe.

One thing that frustrated me is that the cylinder is supposed to be glass, but on my model it looks silver, I think the cylinder looks good thought.

World dominating monster

Today I experimented with meta balls. I read a meta ball tutorial I got from CGTutorials and then started creating my own model.

I am not sure what the model is supposed to be, so I'll say its a picture of a big green monster standing on top of the world. Yes that's it an evil monster with world domination on his mind.

I made a sign today

I made a sign today using blender. To make the sign I followed a paper tutorial I got from CGTutorials and then I added some text and scaled it so it fit on the paper, after that I made a post for the sign by scaling a cube and then extruding it until the post was the length I wanted.

After the sign was complete I selected the text, the paper, then the post, and then pressed control p to make parent so I could move my sign around easier by just grabbing the post.

Today I made a Table with blender

Today I made a table using blender and following a table tutorial I got from CGTutorials. I also appended the cup I made yesterday into my scene. The table was not that hard to model and it looks great, I love it.

About a week ago I leaned about Jabaco

About a week ago I leaned about Jabaco from about.com visual basic. I got excited after I read the article because its supposed to be similar to visual basic 6. I thought great now I can do some of the vb6 projects in a book I have called beginner's guide to programming, second edition.

So I went to the jabaco website and downloaded jabaco witch did not take long because its a small download and then after jabaco finished downloading I installed it on my computer and opened jabaco to see what it looked like and to make sure it worked. And hooray it worked.

Jabaco reminded me of Sams teach yourself visual basic 6 in 24 hours. I went to informit.com and found the book and have been reading it since I got jabaco. After reading sams teach yourself visual basic 6 in 24 hours for a couple of days I made my first jabaco program. So today I wanted to take a screen shot of a program I wrote and put it on my blog. Enjoy!!

Oh, great I just noticed I spelled welcome wrong in the program. Oops.

Today I made a cup again

Today I made another cup following this cup tutorial. Here is the first cup I made on February 9. The handle still did not out right, someday I'll get it right though. The first time I did the cup tutorial I was in a hurry to make something so I could post it on my blog, but today I had more time so the cup came out better. The cup looks so good I think I could drink out of it.

I got my the Yomega Mania DVD I won

I got the Yomega Mania DVD I won February 9. I can't wait to watch the video because I have wanted to learn yo yo tricks for a long time.

When I was younger I saw people using a yo yo and wanted to be able to use a yo yo myself, but I was never able to make a yo yo go up and down in a straight line like I saw other people doing, the yo yo would go down, but I could not get it to come back up to my hand until I got a yo yo a few years ago. I can make the yo yo got up and down in a straight line easily now, but that gets boring after awhile.

I do have a small booklet that came with a yo yo I got that shows how to do yo yo tricks, but I tried one of the tricks in the booklet and could not get it to work so I gave up trying to learn yo yo tricks. If I would have kept trying to learn a trick maybe I would be able to perform a trick now, I don't know. But what I do know is I hope I can learn a trick or two from yomega mania.

Look I made a glass

Look I made a glass today following this tutorial I got from CGTutorials. I tried to make the glass a few days ago so I could post it to my blog, but I ran into a problem. The area between the belt and the bottom of the glass would not come out like it was suppose to after I subsurfed the glass.There would be a crease between the bottom and the belt and it made me frustrated that I could not make a simple glass.

Today the glass came out OK so I am glad. I did it I can make a glass, yay for me. The glass material even look like glass.

Say hello to Mr. Smiley

Here is the smiley face I made today using 3 beizer circles and a bezier curve. I made it today because I read a tutorial in blender 3d noob to pro on bezier curves.

A House made using blender

Today I made a house with blender. If you guessed that I followed a blender 3d noob to pro tutorial to make the house you guessed right.

The house is not hard to make, but it took me three hours because I was fooling around. The hours go by fast when I am using blender because I love making 3d models.

My favorite part of the this project was making the picket fence. Making the fence is not hard and it looks great.
