A sharpie pen I think I won because I don't think is it is a freebie.
My blog contains repetitive posts that are about my dream to become a computer animator and programmer. Its dull, boring and guaranteed to make you hit the back button after you read just one word. Happy reading, Enjoy. This blog also contains fiction.
Today I got an email that said I won a BIC Triumph 730R Roller Pen. Way to go me!! It's the first prize I have won in over three weeks. I wonder if I will win any more prizes this month. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
For the past few weeks I have been working throught the web design tutorials on tizag.com. I have finished reading the html, css, and javascript tutorials. And now I want to lean about javascipt frameworks.
I was not interested in using javascipt frameworks until I read a post on coding horror mentioned jquery. So began my quest to learn jquery. Of course I am not sure I will ever make anything useful using it, but I want to try and learn jquery. I also want to use a few other javascript frameworks: meteora, jsAnimation, and XRegExp. I leaned about the last three frameworks from reading either hacker news, dzone, or reddit. Let the fun begin.
In my last post I wrote that I wanted to write one or two posts a week, well it has been almost a month since that post. So much for that idea. So I decided not to worry about how many times I post on my blog. Instead of saying I will post once a day or twice a week, I will post when ever I want to.
Also in my last post I wrote that I have nothing interesting to write about, well it is true I don't have anything interesting to write about, but I won't let that stop me from blogging. It may stop people from reading, but It wont stop me from blogging, no siree!!
I want to post one or twice a week on my blog instead of once a day so I have more time to lean what I want to learn. I would like to post every day, but I don't have anything interesting to write. So I should concentrate on leaning how to program and making things with blender. The things I want to lean are:
I don't know how much of that stuff I will be able to lean, but I want to lean the basics of all those things.
Today I want to talk about some of the atari 2600 games I enjoyed playing. I am not sure of the exact names of some of the games, but I'll write the post anyway. My favorite game was volleyball. I could play that game for hours it's so fun. Why I like it I don't know.
My next favorite game was donkykong. The sound effects were great. And my next favorite game was battlezone. I can't remember much about battlezone either, but I do remember there was a yellow plane that would always destroy my tank.
Some other 2600 games I played were: baseball, E.T, pitfall, space invaders, pac man, frogger. I was not that good at any of the atari 2600 games although I did enjoy playing them.
I know I have written this before, but I want to start making programs that do something useful. Right now I still go from programming language to programming language. From tutorial to tutorial and never seem to accomplish anything.
Sometimes I think I will never be able to make anything useful, but maybe if I work hard I can eventually make a program. But first I need to stick with a programming language long to lean it. Today I was thinking I've had my computer for four almost five years now. What if I would have stuck with one programming language and learned that for the past few years. If I would have done that I think I would be able to write a useful program.
I don't think it's to late for me to become a programmer, but I need to decide what I want to do and stick with it instead of deciding what I want to lean and then changing my mind a few days after I make a decision to learn a certain programming language. I hope by this time next year I will have learned how to program. I hope I can do it.
A few days ago I wrote the I wanted to learn one programming language at a time. Well now I am changing my mind, but I still want to lean python though. I changed my mind because I like fooling around with any programming language I want to when ever I want to. It may not be the best way to learn how to program, but I have fun working that way.
Also today I spent some time reading the tutorial on the batari basic website. I may not ever be able to write an atari 2600 for stella, but at least I can follow the tutorials on how to set up and IDE for betari basic, yay.
Probably about a week ago I download the batari basic compiler which I found on the stella website. So today I decided to see if I could get the compiler working. And wow I got it working, yay for me.
Setting up the batari basic compiler got me thinking again for the millionth time about what type of programs I want to create some day if I ever learn how to program. As I have said before I want to put up a website. I also want to put the artari 2600 games I hope to create on that website.
I also want to learn python so I can use it with blender. I am not sure how knowing python will help me with blender though. I want to eventually creat short animations with blender although I am not sure I will ever be a competent blender user at the rate I am learning the program.
So I want to make games for stella, short animations, and a website. I probably waste my time always thinking about what programming languges I want to lean and what I want to make with those programming languages. I want to start making things, I just hope I can make something useful.
I am sure it will probably be years before I can design and build a small video game, considering I don't know a programming language or how to design programs. But I want to talk about what type of games I want to make.
I have always enjoyed sports video games more then any other genre. I probably enjoy sports video games the most because I am terrible at any other type of game. With sports video games I can loose all the time and still want to play the games. Actually I was pretty good at the sports video games I had on the NES and Sega Genesis although the games I had were not that hard to beat.
But the other games I had I was terrible at. Games like: top gun 2, contra: I did beat contra, but only when I used the cheat code that gave me 30 lives, jackel, and sonic the hedge hog. I never got past the 2 or 3 level for those games. I did beat super mario 2 so I was not horrible at every non sports game.
I enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball sports video games the most so I hope I can make those types of sports games in how ever many years it takes me to lean how to make video games.
