Buds Best Years, Page 58

Then Bud went back to his house for a good day of watching television and then he took a shower and went to bed with visions of ducks dancing in his head. The next morning Bud got up early to watching the playoff of the CBA. It was going to be a day of fun watching basketball and eating popcorn on the couch. Some people would consider it a wasted day but, Bud did not consider it a wasted day because if he had fun then it was not a waste of his time.

Bud was not rooting for any particular team he just wanted to enjoy watching the games. He certainly enjoyed watching basketball. After watching the playoffs but, went outside to burn off some energy that had built up watching the basketball games. So he went to his basketball court to practice his shot. He shot 3-ponters for half an hour and then went in the house to watch movies and eat dinner. The day just flew by and Bud had a wonderful day. He was excited for tomorrow because that was when he would have a pool party.

Bud woke up and jumped out of bed because of the aforementioned pool a part. He had a lot to do before all the guests arrived. He had to take the food from the refrigerator and set it out on the tables. He also had to put up an umbrella's up on each of the tables to protect the guests from the sun. He did not want the guest at a party he was throwing get a sun tan and with the umbrellas would insure that.

He set out the plates and plastic silverware. He folded the napkins into little hats and put them on the plates. The was also little vases that were to go into the center of the tables. Things were starting to look good. What a party he was going to have. The band was scheduled to arrive in five minutes.

The band was named Bobby and the programmers. It was started in 1986 By a man named Bobby and Ted, tom, Sam. The were an up and coming band. The band was now a top band after 10+ years of obscurity. The song that put them on top is - I can't program and I don't - it was a great song. Bob was a failed programmer. He had big dreams of being a programmer but, he never seemed to make the jump from being an average programmer to being the programmer he always wanted to be. And at this point in his life he did not care. And that is where he came up with the idea of the lyrics for the hit song.
