Laura, The poker player, Page 1

Laura was a poker player who mostly played poker games at the computer city casino. She did not start out with a dream to become a professional poler player. She was born into a upper class computer city family. Her parents were Ted and Trisha. Her parents were both professional types. Her father was a professor and her mother was also a professor at computer city community college. So she was under pressure from an early age to be a good student and get good grades and become some type of professional.

While she got good grades in school she had no desire to become a professor. Since an early age she had always wanted to be a professional poker player again her parents wishes. But, eventually the relented and accepted her decision.

Growing up she was happy go lucky and made friends easily. Which made the choice of poker all the more suitable. Her first poker tournament was an armature event at the computer city community center and Laura finished the event in 12th place which she was happy about.

She would spend hours playing poler on her computer and on weekends play tournaments at the computer city casino. All the practice make her a pretty good poker player. Witch was something that she was proud of.

She decided to focus on her poker playing career and not on romantic relationships. She figured that she did not need a relationship like that. Sure she thought it would be nice to have a significant other but, if it did not happen it was not the end of the world. Besides she liked living alone and did not want to waste the time looking for someone who might not exist. Why risk the possibility of a bad relationship and being miserable when she could do what she wanted to and be happy. She also did not see not being married or not having a boyfriend as being alone. As long as she had friends she felt she would never be alone.

It took Laura awhile until she won her first poker tournament at the computer city casino which made it all the better when she did when since she enjoyed it so much more than probably she would have if she had won on her first try. When she realised she won she jumped up into the air and then when over to hug the man she had just beaten, James Car. She was not a poor winner.

She lived in a small house which she was able to afford from the inheritance her parents had left her in their will when the were killed in a car crash in computer city. It was a great place to live.
