Harriet came and got Bud from camp software. Bud was delighted to see her after a month. Hewas his mothers little boy. As they drove home Harriet filled bud in on what went on at home during his month long absense. Bud did the same except he talked about his time at camp natuarly. He talked about how he got to meet Userla socks and the new programming tecniques he learned and how he was so excited to show the whole family the new computer he ahd built during crafting class at the camp.
Every camper got to take home the computer that he/she built during crafting class. There was no way that Tommy was keeping that many new computer since he did not have any use for them as there were always better hardware comming out in a few months.
So when Harriet pulled into the drive way sid and Harriet 3 were standing there ready togive bud hugs and how are you's. It was a joyful reunion. The family had a wonderful dinner that night of roast beef, vegetables, and cake and ice cream for dessert. The next moring the fun would begin
Harriet and Sid planned a whirlwind summer for their two kids. Consisting of sleep overs, pool parties, movie outings, a staycation, a trip to the zoo. First up was a sleep over. Bud invited some of his friends and harriet invited her friend. She was a loner with only one friend, I know it sounds bad she was ok with it that way though.
All Bud's friends aked him "so how was you time at software summer camp". The were all jelous that he got to attend. The all wanted to got with him but, none of their parents would allow it. He told them in detail about the Disco programming language,how fun it was to build his own computer, rock climbing, how he met Userla socks. The all sat rivited to his every word.
After a dinner of veggie burgers and french fries, and ice cream sandwiches for dessert it was time for the video games. Harriet and her friend agains Bud and his friends. The game the played was soccer. A game that both harriet 3 and bud enjoyed. After a hard fought battle. Harriet and her friend won. It was an exciting match, ok not really. Harriet loved that she had beaten the boys. They hated that she had beaten them at soccer.The pool party was in August. The pool had been redone while Bud was away, it had fallen into disrepair and now it was in perfect like new condition. The kid were not allowed to invite their friends. Sid and Harriet thought that hanging around adults would be good for their children. There was not actual swimming at the pool party. People just sat around the pool and looked at at the longIntegers palmtress and prickly pear cactus plants. Luch was served promptly at 12:00pm. High noon. It was roast fesant in butter sause, chicken salad, potato salad, pizza. For desert the guest could coose from chocolate chip cookies, pumpkin pie, chocolate mud pie, chocolate cake, pound cake, or vanillawafers, ginger snaps, and jellow. The ice cream was vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate chip. There was a lot to choose from.
After lunch there was more sitting around the pool and talking about the latest new technolog to come out of computer city. Then the outdor tv would uncovered and everone watched the press conference that was to unvail star computers new super computer for the home code named super computer for the home. Unfortunatly star delayed the press conferance for another month because of manufactoring problems.
The rest of the day everyone watched auto racing on the huge 100 inch television. All the guests departed by 5:00pm and the longIntegersspent two hours cleaning up the pool area and the they all went to sleep early, it had been a long day.
The rest of the summer plans were ho hum. It was now time for Bud to go to the big schoool and start the First grade.
