page 6, Buds best years

Bud was four years old so he went to kindergarten unlike most of the childrenhis age who were starting preschool. Bud was not a gread student but, his parents decided that he needed to be challenged so they decdied to skip preschool.

The computer chity kindergarten as it was called is a enormous red brick building on computer city drive. Complete with computer lab, indoor swimming pool, greeh house dinning room, and state of the art classroom. There was only one kindergarten teacher and her name was Sophia Care. She was the shool because she taught every class from swimming to gardening to computer lab. School lasted from 7:30am until 2:30pm there were no half days of school even for kindergardeners. The courses were: writing, reading, computer lab, math, and a particular favoriteof the students finger painting. This was all to get the kids of computer city off to a fast start in life getting them ready for the world outside of the school walls. The courses were challenging but, not overwelming. It was a top of the line kindergarten to say the least which is really saying a lot.

Before his first day of bud cried all night long because he could not bear the thought ofbeing away from his mother for hours at a time, but harriet resurred him that everything would be ok and he would make friends and have many adventrues at school. Which bud reluctently accepted. So the next moring at breakfast he ate oatmeal, scrambled eggs, cheese, toast and orange juice. He brushed his teeth and at 7:10am Harriet called him to the door to take him for his first day of kindergarten. Harriet had a camera because she wanted to capture every moment of buds first day of school. She snapped photos furiously. Bud had on his favorite blue shirt with brown cordory pants and red shoes. Harriet thought he looked adorable. Harriet said "Come on bud its time to go to school so get in the car and buckle up."

And they were off on the 10 minuite ride that would take them to computer city kindergarten. Harriet drove fast yet under the speed limit. The pulled up in font of the kindergarten at 7:22am just in time for school. Since this was buds first day she accompanyied him into the shool to meet his teacher and some of the parents. Sophia greated the both warmly and introducted bud to several ofthe children and she she chatted with Harriet for several minutes. Telling her that most of the children cry and are anxious the night before their fist day of shool but quickly come to enjoy school. Whith tears in his eyes bud said goodbyeto his mother and hello to an new chapter in his life. "Goodbye morther" bud said one last time before her car pulled out of the parking lot and on to the freeway.

So bud was all set for his day to begin and the class sat in their chairs in the scool room Mrs. care said "Alright class take your seats and be quietits time for the day to begin". And with that buds school career had begun.
