Buds Best Years, Page 32

The rest of buds child hood went similar to the first 6 years. Not much happened to him between the years 6-13. So now its his 8th grade graduation and bud is 13 years old. I hope I can find enough to write about after skipping all those childhood years. He had attended computer city middle school and was graduating at the top of his class.

It was an overcast day in 2006. It was graduation practice. Ok, class Mrs Tower said. Its time for graduation practice. Now get into a line in alphabetical order and the proceed to the platform with the chars. File into the chairs starting with the A's in the first row and the Z's in the last row.

So Bud was somewhere in the middle and he was happy that he did not have to sit in the front row so close to the audience that would have made him nervous. Each students name was called and they would get of from their chair and walked over to the podium were the principal would be standing on graduation night to hand them the diploma. The practice went smoothly.

The LongIntegers were planning a huge party for Buds graduation complete with lion tamer. The party would be held The day after graduation as opposed to the day before graduation when most parents threw their kids parties.

The was a day off before the graduation. School ended an then their was a day off then the graduation. The big event was on June 3, 2006. Buds 8th grade graduation from the computer city middle school. He could barely sleep the night before he was so excited to be graduating, to have made it to a major milestone in his life. It was to begin at 8:00pm so Bud started to get ready at 5:00pm he wore his normal school clothes since he would be wearing a cap and gown anyway. The cap and gown were green as that was the school colors. Bud was ready by 5:30 and so the family piled into the car for the journey to the school. They arrived shortly before 6:15 as everyone wanted plenty of time before the ceremony.

Bud spotted his long time friend Samantha Willis in the hall. They greeted each other with a how are you? And talked about how excited they were for this day to finally be here and wondering what computer city high would be like. Bud remarked to Samantha that graduating made him feel alive and excited. He said he wished he could graduate every year. You know when December 31 roll around instead of a new years party there will be a path with cap and gown and the music the whole works. Everyone would get a diploma saying the had graduated the year and get a pat on the back. "That sounds ok" Samantha said. "What do you mean its just ok." said Bud. "Never mind." Samantha said. "come on, lets go get some snack in the cafeteria and talk to some friends." Samantha said. "Alright, lets do that." Bud said.

So bud and Samantha walked off to get some of the delicious food that had been prepared for the graduated by a chef flown in by on of Buds classmates parents.
