Bud was so excited to learn his new favorite hobby chess that he bought the book The Ultimate Novices guide to Chess and The video game extreme Chess.

The video games Extreme Chess was made by a company called Extreme games. The Chess game had the player play against wold champion chess player and finally against a computer who was the best Chess player in the world.

Bud would spend hours and hours playing Extreme chess so he could be read to play in chess tournaments at the chess club.

Another activity that bud was looking forward to was basketball. Though the season would not start for 3 month Bud practiced his his hoop everyday. He loved to shoot the ball almost as much as he loved playing defense. Since it was hard to practice playing defense shooting hoops by yourself he would shoot long distance shots on the court in his back yard. He also like to practice dribbling and his drive to the hoop. He also liked to practice dunking the ball.

Bud made promise to himself that he would not concern himself with relationships. So while most of his classmates were worried about who they were going out with Saturday night Bud was studying, practicing basketball, playing his chess video game, or weightlifting. He thought why waste time dating women women who he probably had little chance of liking and instead concentrate on leaning which will last him a life time. He thought that way he would be ahead of his classmates when they finally realized by the time they got to college and started focusing on learning. He would be ahead of them because he had not spent all those years on worrying about how popular he was with girls.

And he was happy not having to worry about who he liked or who liked him. Sure there were women were interested in him but, he always ignored them for his studies. The information he learned would last a life time. A relationship in high school he figured would last a week.

Bud still payed video games. He owned the HyperDrive 4. It was the 4th generation HyperDrive video game console from star computers. He favorite video games to play on the system were: Seaside basketball and Island baseball.

Seaside basket ball was played on the computer city seaside. The player had to advance with a team through harder and harder street court games until they reached the championship. Weather could affect the ball. If there was a high wind would make the ball go off course. So during high winds but, like to make his player go to the rim and either hit a layup or dunk the ball.

Now Island baseball now that was a game. The human player played as a team in the computer city Island baseball league. And in between games you could go on missions to different places on the island. All in all a fun game.
