Buds Best Years, Page 53

Ron inbounded the ball to Bud who found Weldon at the 3 point line for a wide open shot and one thing that Weldon could not pass up was an open shot so he took it and swoosh the ball went though the hoop. Don inbounded the ball to Ted who dribbled the ball to the right and as he got to mid court he changed direction and went left and then drove to the center of the court and drove to the hoop and dribbled the ball of his leg and out of bounds. He showed a disgusted look on his face and went back on defense.

Ron inbounded the ball to quincy Willis who threw a bounce pass to Bud at center court. Bud he the ball and don hand checked him. Bud dribbled the ball between his legs and went right he saw Quincy on the low left block and threw a bounce pass to Quincy. He Backed down Red and bounced passed the ball to Weldon at 14 feet from the hoop. He shot the ball and it bounced in then out of the hoop and was rebounded by Bud who passed the ball to Artie at the 3 point line. Artie passed the ball to Weldon on the low left block who backed down Ernie and he shot the fade away from 5 feet out. The shot bounce on the rim and went in.

The scrimmage was stopped to give everyone a break. It was not time for free throw practice. Then Ted changed his mind and thought that a good game of horse was in order. Score would not be kept. It was just to get everyone practicing shots from different areas of the floor. To make it harder each shot would be defended. Bud started it of and his shot was defended by Don. He stood at the three point line in the center of the floor and shot the ball. Don jumped to provide some defense. The ball went through the hoop without touching net. It was Dons turn. He shot from the exact spot the Bud shot from but, he missed the shot.

It was Red's turn now. He again shot from the same spot that bud shot from. It was an air ball. Next it was Quincy's turn and his shot was defended by Red. To everyone one surprise Quincy's 3 pointer went thought the hoop. He high fived Red. "yes" he screamed. I am a world class shooter. Ted took his turn defended against by Ron. He dribbled the ball and shot the 3 and the ball went of the back iron and bounced out of bounds. Ron was up next and Ron faired no better. The ball hit the rim and bounce over the top of the backboard and went out of bounds.
