A close friend of Buds during those high school years said of him. He was a teenager who know what he wanted to do with his life. While most teenage boys his age were worried about what party they were going to on Friday night but, had a plan. He wanted to hit the ground running when he graduated high school.

For instead of going fishing with his father on lake computer city he decided to stay home and study for an exam in Cynthia files algebra class. He was not doing as well as he wanted to in the class so he decided to spend the whole weekend working math problems. He could spend hours and hours working on problems and ne er get bored. He just needed to apply himself.

Then came a surprise Sid wanted to take the whole family on a vacation to computer city island during the fall break.

Computer city island had miles and miles of beaches. Computer city Island was no island at all. It wans not even near computer city. It was half was across the world near goat a country in the middle of the Atlantic. It was actually a small man made country which required billions of tons of dirt to construct with bulldozers and tractors. It was the first man made country.

Bud, Harriet, Harriet 3, Sid and his girlfriend arrived on the island in mid December. The weather was warm and breezy on a cloudless day. The hotel the stayed at was called the computer city country in. It was the cheapest hotel Sid could find since he wanted to spare every expense on the trip. He was not an expensive person.

The rooms had pink walls with bright pink carpeting. There was cable television and full bathroom with vanity and shower. Not the best looking hotel rooms. But, Bud figured that did not matter since they all probably would not spend a lot of time indoors during the trip.

Sid met his girlfriend at a horse race. There was a long wait at the betting window and since they were in line next to each other. The struck up a conversation and the next thing the knew they were having dinner at a pizza restaurant in computer city. Shirley YouKnow was an interesting women who had worked as a secretary, a computer data entry specialist and now was working as a life guard on computer city beach. "Its surprising that I have not seen you on the beach said Sid since I go there all the time to surf. "Oh, I work in the life guard station not out on the beach." "Oh, said Sid. "Do you have any interesting stories to tell" Sid said. As a matter of fact I don't" Shirley said. And on that note that date ended. Sid wanted to see Shirley again so he asked her out on another date. She said yes. They had a great time together and Sid was happier than he had been years.

Everyone was so tired from the plane ride that a nap was in order first thing. The fun would have to wait.
